Personal encrypted backups with restic and rclone.
AIWork Backup is a personal backup setup for its owner’s computers. It uses restic to encrypt selected local development files and configuration before rclone transfers the encrypted repository to the owner’s Google Drive.
Google Drive access uses only https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. The setup creates and manages its backup repository and can access files explicitly authorized for this application. It does not request access to every file in the account.
This is not a public backup service. There is no application server collecting other people’s backups. Authorization credentials remain on the owner’s computers; Google stores the encrypted backup repository. Restoring files requires the separately stored restic password.
For support or access removal, the owner manages this personal application through their own Google Account and Google Cloud project.
